Not long ago, I added birthdays to the profiles of my characters from JnM. I was just thinking of months that fitted their personalities, but when looking up their horoscopes I was surprised that it all fitted everyone's image so well!
Anyhow, today is the 'birthday' of Megumi. Although my story takes place in the future and Megumi won't be born until about 2020, I just love my characters so much I want to celebrate their birthdays anyway 8D So even though I can't give her an age right now, I can just say Happy birthday ^^
Megumi is a side character, she's a classmate to my main cast, but she has her own story and background. This because I've come to like her more and more over the years and now she's one of my favourite characters. She's best friends with Nobu (they had an interesting childhood friendship together). She originally looked a bit different, I first made her and Nobu as some sort of Parvati and Lavender from Harry Potter, two girls from their class who are Always gossipping together. But over time my story became more and more solid and I started thinking about all my characters and not just the main cast and I didn't want there to be people who actually didn't mean anything.
Megumi lives in a poor area of town, with her mother and three half-siblings (she's the only one with a different father). She's been through a lot of hardships in her youth (because of her enrollment in a rich elite school where she never fit in), but she values her friends and family a lot. Her childhood crush is Kei, who used to be a very sweet and loving boy (he still is, but he doesn't show it anymore) who stood up for her at school when she was bullied, together with Nobu. That's how the three initially became friends.
Megumi already has a strong background story, but I just like writing about her so much I keep on developing her character <3
